The Free Water Alerts service was first begun in December 2007 by B.E.S.T. Water Filters.
It has steadily become a more sought-after service as travellers spread the word.
As a result, in December 2009, the Free water Alerts Service began it's own independently run website.

Did you know that there have been a large number of towns in Australia in the past 12 months were put on "BOIL WATER ALERTS" due to bacterial contamination? Some of these are on PERMANENT boil water alert.
Have a safer trip by knowing about these problems as they come to hand.
You can sign up for our FREE service. As alerts are issued, you will receive a text only email with notification of areas which are on a ‘Water Alert'.
E.g. “A water alert has been issued for ……… area”.
Some of these alerts will have a link to the complete article/story if it is of interest to you.
